About SurfaWhile

SurfaWhile can of course be reached at all times, both before, during and after your holiday. You will only be in contact with us during the booking process. In principle you will only have contact with the school itself upon arrival at your destination, for example during the transfer from an airport.

We are a travel agency with a wide network and extensive experience. Our team has a lot of experience in the field of travel, surfing and language schools. We are therefore ready to answer all your questions!

You can book your preferred surfing and (or) language trip through us. However, here is, if you like, a whole process in advance. We would like to hear what your travel wishes are and then come back to you with an appropriate benefit. Our own experiences help us to advise you on what would suit you best. Communication via WhatsApp also provides an easy, fast and flexible supply of customized information.

No, SurfaWhile does not currently have its own schools or surf camps. All vacations that we offer are sold in the name of the partner. All of these partners meet various quality requirements, and many are also in possession of official language school certificates.

The surf holidays

At the top of the page, directly below the green box (What SurfaWhile likes) you will find a summary, with the gem. ages of the guests. A little further down you will find the heading "Who books this surfing holiday?" And the customer profile is described even better there.

Yes you can. During a surfing holiday many people come alone or with 2 people, so the atmosphere is very open and the vast majority are looking for contact with others.

Surfing

Hell yes! Most guests have little or no surfing experience, so you will certainly not be the only one. Take a look at the heading "surfing conditions" to determine which month is most suitable for you.

On the destinations pages you will find information about the surfing conditions, where we have described the circumstances for each level. See "surfing, activities, meals and transportation".

The surfing lessons usually take place in the morning and a group often goes into the water in the afternoon. In the end, however, it mainly depends on the surfing conditions, so this can never be said with certainty beforehand.

Meals

On the destinations pages you will find information about the meals. See "surfing, activities, meals and transportation".

Most dietary requirements and allergies can be taken into account. After your booking you can state this on the registration form. If you have an allergy that is rare, it may be useful to contact us.

Practical information

Yes, we estimate so. If you are looking for a week (or longer) full of fun, (a little or a lot of) surfing and nice people, you are in the right place! A surfing holiday is for everyone and the surf vibe is guaranteed!

See 'practical information' for information about checking in (time and arrival day). If you arrive before the check-in time, it is no problem to leave your luggage in advance and go to the beach.

See 'surfing, activities, meals and transport' and then the 'transport' heading for the different options.

No, the flight is not included in the price. Look under the heading 'transport' for the nearest airport and a handy link to a page where you can book your flight easily and most economically.

See "practical information" for the general pack-list and information about this specific accommodation.

In the photo gallery that is located under the heading "About this surf camp", you can find photos of all different types of accommodation.

It is advisable to make a decision about this in advance. This surf accommodation is very popular, especially in the summer months and is therefore regularly fully booked.

The Surf + Language Travels

SurfaWhile attaches great importance to quality. We choose our partner institutions with great care. almost all the destinations that you find are known as the best surfing destinations in the world. In addition, the quality standard is high with regard to the language institutions with which we collaborate. Many of our partner schools have been nominated for the Star Awards in the past: this is something like the Oscars for language travel! Many of SurfaWhiles partner institutions are also certified exam centers. This means that you can and can take official exams at these schools.

Most of the accommodations are very international, see under the heading 'Who books this accommodation?' what the typical profile of the guests is.

In principle, SurfaWhile arranges everything for you, and all you have to do is get on the plane to report to the language school a few days later. In that sense it is very easy. Of course you can make a number of extra preparations yourself to get even more out of your trip. For example, you can follow some language lessons on your own, so that you already know a few things, and that you are also in the 'vibe'. This will make the first lessons a lot easier and more effective.

If you have little or no experience with a specific language, we recommend that you travel for at least 4 weeks. This is because it is likely that you will build up such a basis that it will stick. Of course you can also learn a lot in 2 weeks, but the effect in the long term is often less.

There are certainly many others who travel alone. Whether it's a surf camp in Portugal, an English + Surf course in Byron Bay or a combination of learning Spanish and surfing in Ecuador, there are people everywhere traveling alone. You don't have to worry about getting stuck between groups of friends. And even if it were, most travelers are often very open and social and everyone is often quickly included in a group.

'Junior programs' are offered at certain locations. These are programs that are specially designed for young people between +/- 15 and 17 years old, where safety is of paramount importance. Contact us for the possibilities.
